On the weekend, 25 campers and over 40 volunteers had an amazing time at the Little Stars Kids Super Hero Camp! Campers underwent some fun “superhero training” on an Atomic Rush Giant inflatable obstacle course and huge climbing wall! We had some brave climbers indeed! Campers also had fun on jumping balls, hoola hoops, obstacle ladders and underwent their final training with Batman and Wonderwoman! We had facepainting and build a bears with superhero capes as well as lots other fun activities, ending with an amazing puppet show from Larriken puppets and finally our birthday celebrations for our special campers. Above all, the children got to spend time with their one on one buddy and build their friendships with the other children. Almost one year into the Camp Program and we’re starting to see some beautiful friendships building amongst the children and also the trust building between the campers and their one on one buddies. Some beautiful memories are being made and friendships that will help rebuild the children’s trust and their belief in themselves.

Little Stars Kids campers and volunteers alike had a wonderful time at the Winter Wonderland camp on the weekend! The children enjoyed some snow – many for the first time, and loved building snowmen, having snowball fights and just had a ball! The campers were also treated to a visit from the Delta Dogs, made snow globes, enjoyed the jumping castle and also of course face painting. The children also enjoyed a drumming workshop by Rhythm Culture.

We kicked off the first Little Stars Kids Camp for the year on Sunday 19 March 2017 and it was an amazing success.
With Easter close, the theme for the camp was the Easter theme with bunnies, an easter egg hunt and making easter bags all on offer. We saw some lovely friendships developing with the children and the bonding which has now taken place between the campers and their adult one on one buddy is just beautiful.
There were many exciting activities on offer at the camp including a performance from indigenous musician "Circular Rhythm", a visit from Elsa and Batman, pony rides, our petting zoo as well as a giant connect 4, dancing, stories, and of course just kicking a football around on the grass.
It was a fun and exhausting day with the campers already asking when the next camp is!

A huge thank you to the Good Guys at Lutwyche who donated this fabulous speaker for use at the Little Stars Kids Camps as part of their ‘Doing Good’ program and commitment to making a difference in the local community.
The Speaker will be put to excellent use at the Stafford Little Stars Kids Camps and will enable us to provide our little campers with music to help heal little hearts.
Featured left is the wonderful Camp Programmer, Leanne Feurer who put together the successful application to the Good Guys and attended at the Good Guys Lutwyche to accept the donation.
Thanks Leanne and the Good Guys Lutwyche!

Keema Children’s Foundation supported its first ever camp with the Little Stars Kid’s Camp Program on the weekend. A lot of fun was had by all. We had ponies, Delta Dogs, a petting zoo, Build A Bear, singing, and a whole raft of other fun activities for the Little Stars campers to enjoy.
Little Stars Kid’s Camp is a free program for children aged 3–6 who are living in foster care. Through this program we aim to bring fun, laughter, and hope into the lives of the children who attend. The first camp was a huge success with many of the campers wanting to “come back tomorrow!”
All campers took home a gorgeous case, toiletries bag, and library bag from Yay Me!, a hand–made quilt from Project Linus, and other goodies such as books and toys from Keema Children’s Foundation.
